KidPitch Was Featured on ABC4's Good Things Utah
In April 2026, my daughter Layla and I had the opportunity to join Deena Manzanares on Good Things Utah, ABC4's morning lifestyle show, to talk about KidPitch and what we are building.
It was a full-circle moment for us. KidPitch actually started at home with Layla. We used to play our own version of Shark Tank together, pitching ideas back and forth at the kitchen table. What began as a fun family game slowly evolved into a real program, and sitting on that set talking about it with my daughter next to me was something I will not forget.
During the segment, we talked about how KidPitch works, why we believe entrepreneurship is one of the best ways to teach kids real-world skills, and what the mock marketplace experience looks like for kids and families. Layla even shared that the marketplace is her favorite part, which honestly tracks. Watching kids set up their booths, interact with customers, and pitch their ideas with confidence is the moment everything comes together.
The segment also touched on something I feel strongly about: teaching kids to advocate for their ideas, understand money, and build resilience early gives them a foundation that will serve them long after camp ends.
If you missed it, you can watch the full segment on ABC4's website.
